Taking Back Sunday and Blink 182’s Thomas DeLonge Team Up,

Film Video For “This Photograph Is Proof (I Know You Know)”

Taking Back Sunday teamed up with Blink 182 guitarist/singer Thomas DeLonge for the whirlwind filming of the video for “This Photograph Is Proof (I Know You Know)” on Wednesday, October 26th. DeLonge’s debut as a video director came with more than the usual challenges, as Taking Back Sunday flew in for less than 24 hours, midway through their North American tour.  With time of the essence, DeLonge kicked into action, presented a meticulous layout of each shot – his concept included plenty of energetic live performance combined with some memorable imagery – a combination of split screen and live shots. Bassist Matt Rubano commented, “The enthusiasm that Tom brought to this video was amazing. He was able to execute every bit of his treatment in such a great way. He was totally involved and most importantly he kept it fun for us the whole time. Having made so many videos himself, he really knew what he wanted. Tom is also a really fun, positive person to be around."

The band toured in late Spring 2004 with Blink 182, forging a friendship with DeLonge that culminated in their collaboration. Reports from the shoot have been extremely enthusiastic – Tom had this to say: "This video is so amazing that I am potentially going to take the band out in post editing, and put myself in there, and change the song too, because I'm so jealous."

“This Photograph Is Proof (I Know You Know)” is the second single from Taking Back Sunday’s successful sophomore album, ‘Where You Want To Be”, which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 this summer.  The album has sold 430,000 copies to date.  The single hits the airwaves in mid-November. The song was also included on the Spiderman 2 Soundtrack, along with Artists like Dashboard Confessional, Jet and Yellowcard.

See Taking Back Sunday live on Fuse TV, November 19th, when they host the Daily Download show.

Catch 22’s Live CD/DVD Out Now!

Now that the trend has died down, ska-based music can be appreciated as a genre once again. CATCH 22 defy the whole punk/ska dictum by continuing to draw large crowds and selling substantial quantities of albums. They write great pop songs and play them with such cohesion and conviction that they transcend labels. After five successful Victory Records releases, the time has come for a LIVE CD with a DVD which showcases the band’s live talent and energy. This CD/DVD package gives great value.  The CD contains 21 live tracks recorded at Long Island’s Downtown on August 30th, 2004.  The DVD contains footage from that night, as well as features like “Embarassing Photos”, “Humble Beginnings”, “On The Road” and three music videos.
